Dire Straits was a British rock band, formed in 1977 by David Knopfler (guitar), his brother Mark Knopfler (guitar and vocals), John Illsley (bass), and Pick Withers (drums), and managed by Ed Bicknell. Although the band were formed in an era when punk rock reigned, Dire Straits worked within the conventions of classic rock, albeit with a stripped-down sound that appealed to modern audiences weary of the overproduced stadium rock of the 1970s (see 1970s in music). At the age of seventeen, Adams sent a few demo recordings to A&M Records and was signed to them, by the age of 18, for one dollar. He has written and released fourteen albums since then. Some of the first demos written in 1978 have surfaced over the years, most notably "I'm Ready" (recorded for both the album Cuts Like a Knife and later his release for MTV Unplugged) and "Remember", which went on his first album. Both songs were covered by other artists before his first album was even released. Date: 03/26/2008 From: Views: 1354

The C's in the verse pattern are not Cadd9's. They are plain C's.

Not bad. Needs a better explanation of fingering and note sequence in the intro. Closeups are fine but the pulloffs and hammerons are not clear. Tab for this lesson has mistakes in it.
